Water is Life.
| Access to clean water is a human right – the foundation for health, dignity and development. Goal 6.1 of the UN 2030 Agenda aims to provide safe access to clean water for everyone worldwide – and we have made it our mission to contribute to this goal. Through cooperation, commitment and sustainable partnerships, we create solutions where clean water is most urgently needed.
WATER IS...
...the most valuable resource in the world, it is the basis of all life. Nevertheless, access to it is a daily struggle for billions of people.
According to UNICEF, over 1,000 children under the age of five die every day worldwide from water-related diseases. In Africa in particular, over 190 million children are at risk.
Much has been achieved in the last two decades and many people have gained access to safe drinking water for the first time - an important step forward. However, more than two billion people still live without reliable access to clean water, with serious consequences for their health, education and future prospects.
